Lip Piercing and Halloween Costume

My "lip piercing" shocked everybody EXCEPT the people that I intended to shock... My parents.

Then again, today I came down wearing my Halloween costume.

Me: *cough cough* Hey, Mom, this okay?
Mother: Is what okay? *still chopping veggies for dinner*
Me: This. *points at attire*
Mother: What about it?
Me: It's my Halloween costume! Is it okay??
Mother: OH, YOU'RE WEARING YOUR HALLOWEEN COSTUME??

Thanks, Mom. What's that suppose to imply?
