Salt vs. Despicable Me

Salt = full of action but absolute ridiculousity.
Salt: "I think I'll just go kill a bunch of people now, then pretend to be good then bad then good then bad and get locked up and then promise to kill more people. Cool, kay, bye."

Despicable Me = YAH YAH YAH!
"IT'S... SO... FLUFFY...!"
I also love their theme song.

Credit to Taylor

Okay, okay. Taylor Lautner did a pretty good job in Eclipse.

If I didn't say this, some friends (ie: TheSillyObservor) would be very, very mad at me.

Though he really did do pretty well! ... Much better than Kristen Stewert, at any rate.

Eclipse: Third Movie of the Twilight Saga

I am, by no means, any huge fan of Twilight. The way some girls worships it makes me sick - but also makes me admire just how lucky Stephanie Meyer is. Quite frankly, the quality of her writing is basic and nothing superb while her storyline is pretty dumb in some parts. Despite this, she somehow managed to gather a huge cult of followers that worship Edward (or perhaps, Jacob).

In my case, I went to the midnight premier of Eclipse last night with a friend. (She had invited me.) Though not a big fan, I still managed to enjoy the experience. After all, the visual effects in the movie were great, while the action sequences were exciting.

Anyway, the acting was not bad... Though in my opinion, Kristen Stewart (who plays Isabella/Bella Swan) and Rob Pattinson (who plays Edward Cullen) canNOT act. They're acting was horrible and made me wince throughout the whole movie. Rob certainly has improved in acting, but Kristen just sucks. She definitely has Bella down appearance-wise, but I really don't care for her voice and attitude that she embodies Bella as.

Also, the previous actress for the antagonistic vampire Victoria was no longer a part of the cast; which was truly a shame as she, in my opinion, was the perfect actress for the role. Then new actress that plays the part of the revenge-driven-crazy vampire has the look right (they look like they could be sisters), but her attitude does not fit the character quite as well as the old actress. I really can't give her too much trash-talk though, because those are hard shoes to fit and in her own way, she had done well as Victoria.

The movie had a few funny moments, a few heartbreaking moments, and was truly just an entertaining watch, despite the few things that I have nitpicked at.

Also, (excuse my typical teenage, hormone-controlled behavior) but I liked watching the actors for the characters Riley (evil vampire Victoria's puppet), Alec (evil vampire from the royal Volturi coven), and Seth (15 year old new werewolf in the Quilete tribe). Riley and Alec were just HOT, while Seth was so cute (both in human and wolf form), I felt an intense urge to just jump into the screen and hug him to death.

Okay, now why don't guys like this exist in MY world? Darn you, lucky Bella!

Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel

Holy cow, I've watched a lot of movies this week! (For me.) But anyway, today I saw "Alvin and the Chipmunks: the Squeakqual" with *sigh* my whole family.

I mean they're so oblivious... I asked to go to the movies with my friend, and they're like "OH WE WANNA SEE THAT MOVIE TOO" and just tag along. -.- It is absolutely ridiculous!

But anyway, "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel" was, in short, a cute and entertaining, yet slightly disappointing movie after the first movie. Don't get me wrong, the chipmunks are absolutely adorable, and the blooming romance between Alvin, Simon, Theodore, and their female counterparts (the Chippettes) was an "AWWWW" experience, yet the storyline seemed jumbled. The whole story seemed to hop from one topic to another, while barely touching each topic, leaving us wondering. Far from an excellent strategy to keep a viewer interested, the movie lost sight of the original plot.

For those that don't know what this movie is about, here is the trailer to the movie. (And don't forget to turn off the blog's music before you watch this! That is, if you already haven't done so. ;P)

And yes, me watching this movie totally proves that I am a typical girl that loves cute, fuzzy critters. xP I mean come on, they're FUZZY!!

AVATAR!!

Holy cow, "Avatar" was a frickin awesome movie... If you haven't seen it yet, you better set aside a small three hours for this amazing movie!!! And if you don't know what it's about...
Well, I don't really feel like explaining, so here, watch this if you are ignorant of the storyline behind "Avatar"... (Remember to pause the music at the bottom of the blog before watching this trailer, lol.)

Anyway, this movie is by director James Cameron, and for those of you that don't recognise this name... He's also the director of the Terminator movies and Titanic!

So, well this was the movie I saw today with my aunt, her friend, and the rest of my family... I hate going out with my family (soooo embarassing, though I love my family), but it was completely worth it to see this movie!! The movie has a deeper meaning to it too. It's funny because the Na'vi (the natives of the planet Pandora, aka the blue people) kind of remind me of the Native Americans and the humans were the American colonists who drove them out and took over... The movie could also represent the mass genocide of Hitler, if you sorta think about it... The whole movie just shows that us humans are pretty dang ruthless and horribly greedy! After watching "Avatar", it kind of makes me hate us humans too, haha.
There is a sort of "go green" idea to the movie too... How the humans want to forage Pandora for the rich resources, but in the process completely destroying the beautiful life and forest on it!

See, this is what happens when teachers make you analyze text in school for every little bit of symbolism... It starts happening outside of school too!

Well, that's all I wanted to say. Watching "Avatar" was probably the highlight of my day. That and buying a stupid vampire dating book in an attempt to piss of my boyfriend. (Did not work too well.... -.-) Adios for now!
